The Arabia Sportsmen is a unit belonging to the Arabia Shrine Center of Houston, Texas.
The Sportsmen are made up of nobles (members) that have a passion for the great outdoors.
Whether it is fishing in their favorite spot in the bay or hunting dove in scrub of South Texas, the Sportsmen
enjoy sharing in the adventures that can be found just about everywhere.
This group was formed in 2003
and has grown ever since. As the membership has grown so has the charitable activities of the group.
Having multiple hospitals within the local territory the Sportsmen have helped raise money and purchased
needed items for the hospital and its children.
The primary purpose of the Shriners is to support the 22
hospitals that make up the Shriners Hospitals International. The hospitals provide free expert medical care
to children from all over the world. Arabia Shrine of Houston was chartered on July 14, 1915 and has called
Houston home ever since.
The Arabia Sportsmen Unit was created for the Noble who has a passion for the outdoors and the sporting hobby.
If you like the taste of salt and the sound of a screaming drag on the big water, pounding the trout in the surf, stalking tailing redfish in the shallow, pan fishing for crappie, working the back creeks for largermouth, or trotlining for cats, you will enjoy the Sportsmen Unit.
If you are a hunter, this is the place for you. From whitetail to white wings, we will be hunting throughout the season.
